life transformed by the holy spirit's fire
In 2006, Pastor Paul, Pastor Esther and I went to California, United States. I spent half a year studying in Agape Renewal Centre, USA. After returning to Singapore, I joined CKRM, founded by Pastor Paul and Pastor Esther in 2007. In the blink of an eye, CKRM is now 11 years-old and the Holy Spirit led me to leave CKRM in May 2018.
During these 11 years, having been in contact with the Holy Spirit’s Fire for a long time, indeed every area and every level of my life had been transformed by the Holy Spirit. My heart is filled with much gratitude towards God. Now, His Kingdom, His will and God Himself become my only longing and pursuit for the rest of my years.
One time in my quiet time with God, I saw both hands holding the Olympic Torch each, truer than a vision, as real as it is. I believe that God is not just giving me a unique experience at that time, but He has lighted my life with the “Flame of the Holy Spirit”. Since then, my body's physique has changed. I felt heat more often, and did not feel cold even with the air conditioning switched on at night. It means to me wherever I go, I will have to release the “Flame of the Holy Spirit” for the Lord and become a “fire starter”, bringing light into the dark places.
I am just an ordinary sister in the eyes of many, but God has put the calling of "the Silk Road" in me, which is the current “One Belt One Road” as the destiny of my life. God also put in my heart the love for China. Twice when I was having quiet time with God that I heard the Holy Spirit said to me very clearly, "My food is to obey the will of the One who sent me, and to do His work (John 4:34)." This is God’s request for the calling He has upon my life, it is not for fun. It spurred me to be more vigilant in guarding my heart and to be more watchful with much prayers.
Thank the Lord, God has changed my heart so that I could place His agenda before self. He had also put some spiritual burdens in my heart so that I can feel the way He feels. To this day, I know that God has more and deeper work to do in my life, and I am willing to be open to the Lord and let Him shape me so that I may become a vessel that is pleasing to His heart.
Whenever I reflected on God's abundant grace that was poured on me, or whenever I shared with others about God's goodness towards me, my heart was filled with so much gratitude. Tears would naturally began to roll from my eyes. How real our Lord is. He is always the only and the most beloved of my life.
