First Baptism in CKRM Malacca editorial team

The Lord says in Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
CKRM had its first Baptismal Service on the 27th February 2010. Four persons responded to the commandment of the Lord. The candidates were Peter Tan Shern Wei, Nathanael Tan Siao Kiat, Cecilia Kok Gaik Neo and Robert Chong Yee Fah.
Three of them who were new believers and having encountered God in an amazing manner in CKRM decided to be baptized without delay by putting the world behind them. Each one of them was looking forward to this auspicious day to die and be resurrected with the Lord Jesus. The Bible says “Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection” (Rom. 6:3-5).
Each of the candidates testified of the goodness of our Lord and wanted to trust Him fully all the days of their lives. They were baptized in the nice pool in the church itself.
When they were baptized, the power of God came upon them so strong when Nathanael put up his right hand when the word of the Lord was released to him, “More than a conqueror!” Ps Seth prayed for bro Peter Tan, bro Nathanael and sis Cecilia while bro Joel prayed a prayer of blessings for bro Robert Chong.
The presence of the Holy Spirit was imminent upon all the baptismal candidates,
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ It was a day of rejoicing to see these new believers making a public profession to follow Jesus and wanted to be His disciple. After the baptismal service , all of us had a wonderful time of refreshment to celebrate our God’s goodness.
